Mr. Marlin Ray Allen, age 81, a resident of Lake Charles, Louisiana, died Sunday at his home.
He was born on February 25, 1933 in De Queen, Arkansas to Walter Allen, Sr. and Tompie Willmon Allen. He served in the U. S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He was owner of Allen's Financial Services and Used Cars in Lake Charles, and was a Christian. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and traveling in their RV.
Mr. Allen was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Walter Allen, Jr., a niece, Deborah Love, and his in-laws, Roy Smith, H. L. Smith, and Tom Cowling.
He is survived by his wife of almost 62 years, Alta Allen of Lake Charles, Louisiana, omitted for privacy.
Funeral Services for Mr. Marlin Allen will be held at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, April 2, 2014 in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel, with Bro. Joe Carlton officiating. Burial will follow in the Allen Family Cemetery, De Queen, Arkansas The family will receive friends at Chandler Funeral Home, De Queen, Tuesday, April,1st from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M.
