Born in Longview, WA on May 9, 1926, Pete was the older brother of Mary (Herald). His parents were Hamilton and Anita Clare Rand. He is forever remembered by his two children, Christopher G. Rand and Mallory (McKune). He was preceded in death by his three sons, Peter Michael Rand, Daniel Brian Rand and Bruce Lee Rand. He will be greatly missed by several grandchildren and great grandchildren. He grew up in SF, graduated from St. Ignatious H.S., USF and CSUS, where he majored in speech pathology. He worked for the Sacto. Office of Educ., while raising his family in Reigo, CA (Placer County), where he resided until his death. He served heroically, for his country that he loved, in WWII.

Friends and family are invited to services at St. Clare Church, 1950 Junction Blvd., Roseville, CA, on Friday, August 28 at 11:00 a.m., followed by his burial at Calvary Catholic Cemetery, 7101 Verner Ave., Sacramento, CA 95841. Go Giants & 49ers!
