Mrs. Martha June Woodham

Mrs. Martha June Woodham of Dothan, multi-Women’s Golf Champion to include the Dothan Country Club 1989 Championship, went home to be with our Lord this past Friday, August 28, 2015 at UAB Hospital. She was 75.

The loves of her life were family, God, church, and the many years she played golf.

Funeral services will be held at 11 A.M. Tuesday, September 1, 2015, at Bethel Baptist Church with Reverend Ricky Plummer officiating. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery with Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing.

The family will receive friends at the church on Tuesday, September 1, 2015, from 10 to 11 A.M. If not able to attend on Tuesday, there will be a visitation period on Monday evening from 5 to 7 P.M. at Ward Wilson Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.

She is preceded in death by her parents Julian and Vera Watkins, husband Charles H. Woodham and sister Gloria L. (Watkins) King.

Survivors include son Skipper Woodham and his wife Una Woodham, and son Perry Woodham. Brothers William Watkins and his wife Kathy, Michael Watkins and his wife Dawn, and Nathan Watkins and his wife Elizabeth. Grandchildren John Woodham and his wife Shirene, Terry Woodham, and Charles A. Woodham and his fiancé Amanda Scott. Great-grandchildren Jayden Woodham, Payten Woodham and Ryan Woodham.
