Obituary in The Shreveport Times October 6, 1985:

Funeral services will be conducted at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home for Mrs. Quinnie Allen Mizell, 80, of Shreveport Monday, October 7. The Rev. Lael S. Jones, pastor of Mangum United Methodist Church, her nephews, the Rev. C.R. Williams, pastor of the Central Baptist Church in Hattiesburg, Miss., and the Rev. Clyde Williams of Mobile, Ala., will officiate. Interment will be at Centuries Memorial Park.

Mrs. Mizell died Friday, October 4, 1985, after a long period of failing health. She was a native of Georgetown, Miss., and was a member of Mangum United Methodist Church, The Cheermakers Sunday School Class and the United Methodist Women.

Mrs. Mizell is survived by her daughter, Mrs. Sherry Williams (husband Curtis) and one grandson, Beau Williams, all of Shreveport; one sister, Mrs. Ora Nell Mitchell of Jackson, Miss.; seven brothers, Jim Allen of Wesson, Miss., T.B. Allen of Newton, Miss., John Earl Allen of Georgetown, Miss., Narvell Allen of Purvis, Miss., Barney Allen of Greenville, Miss., Bob Allen of Georgetown, Miss., and T.D. Allen of Kent, Wash.
