Funeral services for Irma A. Acklie, 89, of Madison will be at 10:30 a.m., Friday, February 6, 2015 at Trinity Lutheran Church, with Reverend Martin Schmidt officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Crown Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be Thursday from 4-7 p.m. at Resseguie Funeral Home.

Mrs. Acklie died Sunday, February 01, 2015 at Countryside Home.

Irma was born September 12, 1925 near Howells the daughter of Harry and Amanda (Kuester) Renner. She attended St. John's Lutheran School rural Howells and then attended Enola High School. On July 15, 1947 Irma married Glen Acklie at the Trinity Lutheran Parsonage. The couple farmed near Madison until 1968. In 1970 she moved into Madison and worked in the kitchen for the Countryside home for 25 years.

Irma was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and enjoyed completing jig saw puzzles, and playing cards especially pitch.

Irma is survived by her children and their spouses, Ron and Amy Acklie of Clearwater, Roger and Kathy Acklie of Madison, Neal and Diann Acklie of Norfolk, Randy and Ieda Acklie of Norfolk, and Deb Stultz of Valley Springs, South Dakota, one brother Orley (Norma) Renner of Howells, 17 grandchildren, and 33 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Glen in 1968, son-in-law Charles Stultz, Jr. and four sisters.
