Mrs. Grubb was a homemaker and a member of the Bethesda Baptist Church at Bimble. She enjoyed caring for her grandchildren and quilting in years past.
On February 22, 1956, she united in marriage with Forester Grubb in Claiborne County, TN.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Forester, on November 12, 2001; two brothers and two sisters.
Survivors include her children, Anthony Wayne Grubb and Roy Forester Grubb both of Gray, Carol McCreary and husband, Terry, of Bryants Store, James William Grubb and wife, Nancy, of Clarksville, TN, Bobby Valentine and wife, Darlene, of Blanchester, OH and a special grandchild she considered her daughter, Chele Abner; four sisters, Alta Martin of Keavy, Faye Bumgardner of Clinton, TN, Shirley Cress of London and Sue Cornelius of Pineville; a brother, Charles Owens of Clay County; 13 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren; among other loved ones and dear friends who mourn her passing.
Her funeral service will be conducted in the chapel of the Knox Funeral Home Thursday, December 27 at 2 P.M. with Rev. Don Farmer and Rev. Tim Thompson officiating. Mrs. Grubb will be laid to rest in the Owens Family Cemetery.
Casket bearers will be Dennis Valentine, Rodney Valentine, John McCreary, Jason McCreary, Justin Grubb, Brian Bullock and Kevin Valentine. Honorary bearers will be Darin and Austin Clay Abner, Jordan Anthony Grubb, her friends at the flea market - Margaret Bingham, Doris Hensley, Haleigh Grubb and Effie.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Knox Funeral Home.
