Nina C. (Hansbrough) McCosh, 77, a resident of Haverhill since 1970, died on Wednesday morning, April 22 at her home.
Born and raised in Paragould, AR and then in Columbia, MO, daughter of the late Lewis D. and Vivian P. (Mayo) Hansbrough, Mrs. McCosh graduated from Columbia High School with the Class of 1955. She went on to receive an Associates Degree in 1957 from Christian College in Columbia, MO and later her Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Missouri in 1959.
Mrs. McCosh was employed as a Tax Examiner for the Internal Revenue Service for thirty years until her retirement in 2002.
An avid Boston Celtics fan, Mrs. McCosh enjoyed attending the New Hampshire Highland Games and Festival.
She is survived by her two sons, Jonathan G. McCosh and his wife Kristin of Raymond, NH, and Stephen B. McCosh of Haverhill, her daughter, Kelsey McCosh of Haverhill, her brother, David L. Hansbrough of Georgia, three grandchildren, Janielle McCosh, Jessalyn McCosh, and Jonathan McCosh, and two nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Mrs. McCosh's Life Celebration on Sunday, April 26 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at Berube-Comeau Funeral Home, 47 Broadway, Haverhill, MA.
