KNOX -- Herbert Miller, 95, of 701 S. Main St., died Monday in Westminster Nursing Home, Muncie, Ind. Mr. Miller owned the Standard Oil bulk dealership in Knox. He was born March 4, 1899, in Mount Ayr, Ind., and had lived in Knox for 50 years. He married Ruby Kitzer, who who died Jan. 29, 1982. Surviving are a daughter, Frances M. Dalka of Kurtz, Ind.; two sons, Richard of Muncie and Dr. Herbert D. of Michigan City; four grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. Mr. Miller was a former president of the Knox Kiwanis Club. He was a member of Knox Christian Church, Arcadia Christian Church, Knox Masonic Lodge and South Bend Scottish Rite.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Braman and Son Memorial Chapel. Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery. Friends may call one hour before services Thursday in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Cancer Fund or Knox Christian Church.
