In the 1850 Census for the family of Asher and Louisa Bailey of Milton Twp., Jefferson County, Indiana, is their eldest son, Elijah, age 11. He appears again in the 1860 Census (indexed as Eligah Bailly) at the age of 21 = b. 1839. Elijah's age at death on the tombstone calculates to a birth date of 26 Aug 1838. Asher and Louisa are buried at Morris Chapel Cemetery, Brooksburg, Jefferson Co., Indiana.
