Samuel is supposed to be the son of Seth & Agnes (McGary) Tubbs. He married Anna Doty (Mayflower Descendant) , who, after Samuel's death, after 1840, moved from Lee, NY with some of her children to Bloomingdale, and Concord, Wisconsin, dying there after 1861. Anna was the daughter of Capt. Cornelius Doty by his wife Mehitable Lucus. Samuel purchased land with brother-in-law John Doughty in Western, Oneida Co., NY, in ca 1808. He was a Pvt. in the War of 1812, being on the pension rolls in 1822. Before 1816 he was in Floyd, Oneida Co., NY and by 1830 he was in Lee, Oneida Co. Father of 12 or more children, and over 70 grandchildren.

As a a side note, I, ALZ, descend from his daughters Mehitable & Amy.
