Watertown -- Roy W. Sidbury, Sr., 75 of Bunker Hill Avenue, died Tuesday at Waterbury Hospital after a long illness.
Mr. Sidbury was born Aug. 7, 1906, in Willmington, N.C., son of the late Richard and Hattie Sidbury. He was employed by Chase Brass and Copper Co. since 1937. In 1952, he was transferred to Baltimore, Md. where he was eastern regional sales manager for the plumbing, heating and cooling division. He returned to Waterbury in 1962 and continued with Chase until his retirement in 1969.
Mr. Sidbury was a 32nd Degree Mason and a member of the Boumi Shrine Temple of Baltimore.
He leaves a son, two sisters of Willington and two grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Fitzgerald-Zembruski-Mengacci Funeral Home, 240 North Main St., Naugatuck, with the Rev. John Harmon pastor of the Pinebrook Assembly of God Church officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Waterbury. There are no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made to the Morris Foundation in care of the Board of Directors, 26 North Elm St., Waterbury, or to the 700 Club, Virginia Beach, Va.
