Masonic graveside services for R. L. Miles Sr., who died at his home in Corpus Christi, will be held on Saturday, Dec. 16 at 3 p.m. in the Masonic Cemetery. Seydler-Hill Funeral Home is in charge of local arrangements.
Mr. Miles was born on Oct. 14, 1900 in Fowler, Col. to Oliver and Mary Ehart Miles, natives respectively of Colorado and Missouri. He was a retired employee of Shell Oil Company in Bogata, Columbia and worked after that as a deputy sheriff in San Patricio County. He also belonged to the United Methodist Church and a member of the local Masonic Lodge No. 30 AF&AM. He was also a member of Pipefitters Local No. 185 in Corpus Christi and lived at Lake Corpus Christi.
