Cremation of AleanorR. Merrifield, 61, a longtime social work education professor at Fresno State University, is being held under the direction of the Neptune Society of Fresno. Mrs. Merrifield died Saturday. She was born in Kinsley, Kan., and had lived in Fresno for 18 years. Mrs. Merrifield joined the university's School of Health and Social Work staff in 1969 and was active in teaching up until her death.
She concentrated on training students in clinical social work.
Mrs. Merrifield earned her bachelor's degree from the University of Oregon and master's degree from the University of Chicago.
She was a member of the Unity Church of Fresno
