Aaron was born on September 15, 1958, in Ohio to parents Joseph Milo and Mary Imogene (Poole) Barnett. He grew up in Chillicothe, OH, and married Sherry Joan Benton in 1982, in Oceanside, CA. Aaron and Sherry had two sons, Daniel and Brian. He served our country proudly in the United States Marine Corps. They moved to Tehachapi where Aaron worked up until his illness in 2015. He loved to be of service to others, loved woodworking, and working on cars. He served as a deacon at Country Oaks Baptist Church.
Aaron is survived by his wife, Sherry; sons, Daniel and Carlie Barnett, and Brian and Karen Barnett; and granddaughter, Elianna. He is also survived by his sister and brothers; his in-laws, George and LeAnn; and many extended family members and friends. A memorial service was held on September 1, 2015, and burial with military honors was at Bakersfield National Cemetery, in Arvin, CA.
Imagine Aaron walking across newly poured concrete, and with every step he left an "impression." That, once dried, has become permanent and indelible. All of our memories are part of his legacy, as well as his works. Because Aaron was called for a purpose and left a distinct impression on all the lives he touched, we are greatly blessed.
His favorite Bible verse was: "But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint." Isaiah 40:31
