A direct descendant of Georg Michael (1723-1807) and Anna Margretha (1719-1795)MUMPER, Jane Hertzler MUMPER Williams, 86, of Fredericksburg, was born in Carlisle, Pa.; the daughter of Robert Abram MUMPER and Barbara Elsie HERTZLER. She was a homemaker and served as secretary at Tuckahoe Presbyterian Church, in Richmond. She was a member of Lake of the Woods Church, Frances Bland Randolph Chapter of Daughters of the American Revolution, Lake of the Woods Garden Club and garden clubs in the Richmond area.
Jane was preceded in death by her husband, Mark B. Williams, M.D., and her brother, Robert Horace Mumper. She is survived by a sister, Helen May MUMPER Dunavant of Lanham, Md.; a sister-in-law, Nancy Mumper; three nieces, Barbara Sykes, Pamela Kidell, Jo Ann Dunavent; and a nephew, Robert Dunavent.
Graveside service was held at Timber Ridge Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Lexington, Rockbridge Co., Va. The Rev. Deborah Klein officiated.
