Emma J. Phillips dies on Thursday: long-time resident
Emma J. Phillips of Highland Falls, a retired supervisor at the cadet laundry at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point and a 52-year resident of the area, died Thursday, Feb. 8, in the Cornwall Hospital. She was 67.
The daughter of the late Chester and Mary Miller Souders, she was born June 18, 1928, in Phillipsburg N.J. She was the widow of Elmer F. Phillips, Sr.
Survivors include three sons, three daughters; two sisters, 10 grandchildren, two great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
