Inez attended country school Prussia No. 3 primary through eighth grade and graduated from Greenfield High School in 1943. She taught country school for nine years. On July 1, 1954, she was united in marriage to Lowell Aupperle in Adair, Iowa. They farmed in Adair County until moving to Greenfield in 1980. She was a member of the Greenfield Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lowell Aupperle in 2014; two sisters, Vera Abruzzese and Vivian Moore; two brothers, Claude and Vernon Main; two sisters-in-law; two brothers-in-law; and one nephew, Jerald Main.
She is survived by her niece, Sandra Yaniw and her family of Eugene, Oregon; two brothers-in-law, Neil Aupperle (Jannes) of Anita and Bob Hagen of Anita; two sisters-in-law, Delores Templeman (Charles) of Atlantic and Marlene Shannon (Jack) of Madison, Ohio; two godsons, Benjamin and Austin Olson; other relatives and friends.
