Miss Pearl Brandon, 78, of 2 N. 3rd St., died Monday evening in Greenview Nursing Home, Schuylkill Haven R.D., where she had been a guest for two months.
A native of Brandonville, Miss Brandon was born Nov. 4, 1882, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd T. Brandon.
She had taught school at Mount Penn, Reading, for over 30 years.
Surviving are two nieces, Mrs. Ruth Brandon Bounds of Stockton, Md., and Mrs. Dorothy M. Brandon Berry of Sanford, N.C.; two cousins, Allen and Howard Fetherolf, both of Orwigsburg. Funeral will be held Friday afternoon from Sterner Funeral Home, 917 W. Market St. The Rev. William H. Margurger, pastor of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Orwigsburg, will officiate at services. Interment will be made in Ringtown Cemetery.
