Richard Wayne Crnich passed away June 23, 2015 surrounded by his children and grandchildren after a short battle with cancer. He was 71.
Richard was born in Eureka, CA to Emil and Edith Crnich. He grew up in Eureka and graduated from Eureka Sr. High School in 1962. He married the Love of His Life, Theresa Crnich on August 1, 1965.
Richard had a very adventurous spirit and a love for the outdoors which lead him and his wife to settle in Bend. OR in 1972 and raise their three sons. Richard worked for over 20 years as a route driver for United Parcel Service. He enjoyed many hobbies over the years. including getting his pilots license, coyote hunting, fishing, and later in his life he became an avid land sailor introducing a lot of his friends to the sport. He also became an accomplished metal artist, making metal sculpture trophies for many local golf tournaments.
He will be sorely missed by all those who he touched during his 71 years with us. He is survived be his children, Mark (Lisa). Brian (Heather), Nikolai (April); grandchildren, Brittany. Ashley, Mason, Jessie. and Nikolai Jr.; brothers, Leonard (Joanne). Gary (Pam), Jerry (Glenda); father-in-law Charles Grundman; brother-in- laws, Mike (Linda), Pete (Vicky), and sister-in-law, Pam (Joe).
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edith and Emil Crnich; his wife Theresa, mother-in-law, Joyce Grundman. and brother-in-law, Paul Grundman.
As for Rich's wishes, a celebration of life will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers please make a contribution in our fathers name to Partners In Care Bend.
