BLAIRSVILLE, Feb. 28, -George W. Vatter, age 83 years, died yesterday at his home on South Liberty Street after a long illness. He was an employee of The National Plate Glass Company for many years and retired about 20 years ago. He was a member of The Hebron Lutheran Church.
His wife, Catherine (Wagner) Vatter died in 1927. he leaves these children; George Vatter, Chicago, Ills.; Eugene, Francis and William Vatter all of Blairsville; Mrs. J.A. Wood, Los Angeles, Calif.; Mrs. Elmer Campbell, Mrs. John Grennall, Mrs. Thomas Q. Hill and Mrs. William J. Wilson all of Blairsville, and Miss Dorothy Vatter at home.
Funeral services will be conducted in his late residence, Saturday afternoon at two o'clock by the Rev. W.B. Claney, pastor of Emmanuel Lutheran Church of Etna, formerly Blairsville. Internment will be in Blairsville Cemetery.
