Mrs. Hamblin Dies, Age 84
West Falmouth Woman Was Mother of Frank Hamblin—Funeral Saturday
Mrs. Ellen A. Hamblin died in West Falmouth early this morning. She was 84. Mrs. Hamblin was the mother of Frank A. Hamblin, former highway surveyor of Falmouth. She was the daughter of Captain William Baker who was born in New Bedford and came to Falmouth to marry Miss Polly Crowell. Mrs. Hamblin was born in West Falmouth and spent most of her life there. For a short time after her marriage to Andrew J. Hamblin they Uved in Pawtucket. Mr. Hamblin died about ten years ago.
Mrs. Hamblin was an active member of West Falmouth M.E. church and a charter member of the Falmouth W.C.T.U. She died at the home of Mrs. Mabel Thing with whom she had been living. Survivors, in addition to the son, are three granddaughters, the Misses Dorothy, Isabelle, and Ellen Hamblin.
The funeral will be Saturday from the home of Mr. Hamblin. Details were not arranged this noon.
