Anthony F. Blatnik, 88, of 532 99th Ave. W., died Saturday, May 10, 1997, in the Nopeming Nursing Home. He was born in Eveleth, to Frank and Johanna Blatnik on March 30, 1909.

He had been a resident of Duluth since he was five years of age.

Mr. Blatnik was a member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, the Good Fellowship Club of Morgan Park, and the KSKJ Lodge. He retired in 1974, as a superintendent, from the U.S. Steel Co.

Anthony is survived by his wife, Frances; son, Anthony Jr. (Darlene); daughter, Frances (James) Morris; sister, Josephine Mazurek; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Inurnment will take place in Eveleth Cemetery.

Married Frances Margaret Hutar on May 30, 1951 in St. Louis County.
