Helen was born January 2, 1932 in Peru, Iowa to Teddy and Regina Hayden.
She retired from American Republic Insurance in 1992 after 22 years of service. Helen was a member of First 7th Day Adventist Church.
The most important things in life to Helen were her faith and her family. Her family, friends, and all who knew her will remember her most for her kindness and generosity.
She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Susan Kay Salsbury; sisters, Faye Palmer, Floene Morrison, Merrill Hayden, Keith Hayden, and Beulah Harrison.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, September 9, 2015 at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street followed by burial at Montpelier Cemetery in Patterson, Iowa. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service Wednesday at the funeral home.
