Kenneth Rose, 66, of Syracuse, died August 6, 2006 at Community General Hospital. He was a Navy veteran and worked as a transportation manager in the trucking industry before retiring. He is survived by his wife of 10 years, the former Pauline Austin; three daughters, Kimberly Rose of Guilderland, Tracy (Ron) Sweeney of Pa. and Nicole Rose-Sousa of Waterford; four grandchildren, Tyler, Kelsey, Cloey and Jared; four stepchildren, Mark, Stewart and David Thompson and Paula Moore. Services will be held on Thursday at 6:30 p.m. in the Pirro & Sons Funeral Home. Calling hours will be Thursday from 4 to 6:30 p.m. at the funeral home, 514 Turtle St., Syracuse. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Kitty Korner of CNY Inc., P.O. Box 182, Liverpool, NY 13088.

Ken passed away from an anyurism while playing golf.
