At St. Joseph’s Life Care, Brantford, with her children by her side, Margaret Grace Micks passed away peacefully in her 101st year. Born in Paris, Ontario, daughter of the late William and Marion Martin (nee Jefferson). Loved mother of Frank (Diana), Vernon (Linda), Marilyn Ann (1966), and Marlene (Dan McQuin). Predeceased by husband Raymond (1972), brothers William “Bill” and Thomas, and sisters Grace (infant) and Dorothy Kobe-Hallman (2013). Special grandmother to Laura (John), Abby, Ryan (Leda), Cory, Matthew (Leslie), and Jake. Great-grandmother to Chelsea, Lindsay, Erik, Adam, Lyla, Callista, Austin, Lannya, and Suri. Also will be remembered by many nieces and nephews. Grace was a long time member of Balfour United Church, and Branch 90 Legion. Grace enjoyed her children, grandchildren, dining out, and shopping. In her earlier years she spent a great deal of time volunteering at Lansdowne Children’s Centre, and the Brant Sanatorium (Brantwood Centre). Grace’s family expresses their sincere thanks and appreciation to the loving and dedicated staff at St. Joseph’s Life Care. She lived her life like her name “Amazing Grace”. The family will receive friends at the DENNIS TOLL FUNERAL HOME, 55 Charing Cross Street, Brantford on Thursday, February 27, 2014 from 7-9 p.m. Visitation will resume on Friday at the funeral home from 10- 11 a.m. A funeral service to follow in the chapel at 11 a.m. Interment Mount Hope Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Joseph’s Life Care Foundation.
