Son of Bo and Cleister Wingate Everson on January 6, 1952. Father of Chad Scott Everson (deceased) and Brandi Everson Woods. Cremated. Memorial and burial in two cemeteries: Colquitt City Cemetery and Thompson Church Cemetery.

RANDY SCOTT EVERSON

Mr. Randy Scott ("Ears") Everson, age 61, of Colquitt died Thursday, May 16, 2013, at the Southeast Alabama Medical Center, Dothan, AL.

An informal celebration of life gathering was held Saturday, May 17, at Ear’s house, 633 N. Early County Line Road, from 7:00 p.m. - until. There will be a private graveside service at a later date. (Added note: Ashes are buried at two cemeteries. Colquitt City Cemetery - A beautiful memorial is located at the foot of his mother's grave and another at Thompson Church Cemetery at the foot of his son's grave. Both cemeteries are located in Miller County, GA).

Randy was a career plumber and electrician. He was a co-owner of Everson Plumbing and Electric. A graduate of the Miller Co. High School class of 1970, he was very active in class reunions and other functions. He was a loving father and doting grandfather who could always supply a sucker on demand to his grandson, Myron. He will be dearly missed.

He is survived by his daughter, Brandi Woods, and her husband Matt; grandson Myron; his longtime companion, Deb Posey; his father, Bo Everson and (Bo's) longtime companion, Frances Kelley; two brothers, Tony Everson, and wife Lynn, Wade Everson, and wife Joanna; sister, Angel Mathis and husband Wendell; two aunts, Ann Taylor of Albany, and Eleanor Wood of Lake City, FL.; nieces and nephews, Morgan and Baylee Everson, Kaley Givens, Shane Mathis, and Phoebe Christian and husband Jason.

He was preceeded in death by his son Chad Scott Everson (1991) and his mother Cleista Winget Everson (1984).

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Walter C. Dancer Masonic Lodge #115, the Hassan Masonic Temple, or a charity of your choice.

Colquitt Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
