FINAL RITES FOR RUSSELL M. FOX, 55

Russell Merrill Fox, 55, of 216 E. Hickory, died at noon Sunday in a Kirksville hospital where he had been a patient two days. He had been in failing health two years.

Born in eastern Adair County near Adair on Sept. 7, 1920, he was the son of Thomas Wilbur and Kathryn Morrow Fox. At Queen City, MO on Jan. 20, 1951 he married Evelyn Ingold who survives. Also surviving are one daughter, Dixie Lee Fox of the home and two aunts, Nettie Callahan of Paris, MO and Mrs. Clifford (Lizzie) Selby of Brashear. MO.

He was preceded in death by his father in February 1965 and his mother in January 1966.

Mr. Fox was reared in Adair County where he attended a rural school. He was a 1939 graduate of the Kirksville High School. Following his schooling he moved to Milwaukee, WI where he was employed with Diehl Cleaners and Producers Creamery until his retirement due to ill health.
Mr. Fox was a veteran of World War II, serving with the United States Army for 13 months.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at two o'clock in the chapel of the Foster Memorial Home. The Rev. William F. Davidson, pastor of the First Christian Church, will conduct the services. Burial will be in Maple Hills Cemetery.

Bearers will be: Theo Jones, Kenneth Graham, J.B. Bevans, Charles Smith, Dick Bunch and Merle Selby.
