Cheryl Marie Fabre Basse passed away on Friday, September 4, 2015 in Covington, LA. She was born to Gloria Katherine Juka and Chester Joseph Fabre on Friday, June 18, 1943 in Port Sulphur, LA. Cheryl lived with her family in Barataria, LA for a short time before moving to Folsom, LA in 1977.
The beloved wife of the late Burton Vincent Basse, she is survived by three sons - Dean M., Duwayne J. and Blaine V. Basse; three sisters - Claudette Arcement, Dorothy Rudolph and Opal Pruden; two brothers - Daniel, Jr. and Donald Herrmann; her sister-in-law - Agnes Green; three grandchildren - Monique G., Justin W. and Alexandra R. Basse; two step-grandchildren - Heather Holden and Drew King; and six great grandchildren - Brandon, Jake and Brandee King, Grayson, Gabrielle and Kayli Holden. Her parents preceded her in death.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral mass at 2:00 PM on Saturday, September 12, 2015 at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Ave. Covington, LA 70433.
Visiting hours on Saturday will begin at 12 Noon.
Interment at Barker-McManus Cemetery in Covington, LA will immediately follow the mass.
