Elizabeth Ann Harlan nee Potter was born May 29, 1821 and died November 19 1906, aged 85 years, 5 months and 20 days. Miss (sic) Potter was born in Clay county, Mo. May 29, 1821, about one month and twelve days before Missouri was admitted into the union of states. She was a daughter of Eldridge and Mary Potter. The father and his family moved to Clinton county in a very early day and settled on a farm half a mile east of Turney. Miss Potter was married to James M. Harlan probably in the early forties.
