Billy Alvin Bagley, 54, of Red Bluff, California, died Friday, January 10, 2003, at his residence in Red Bluff, CA. He was a Yuba-Sutter resident until moving to Tehama County where he lived for 16 years. Bill was born on January 31, 1948, in Colusa, CA, to Leon & Ruth Patricia (Taylor) Bagley. Bill was united in marriage to Lona Ranney, ending in a divorce & having 3 sons to this union. On May 9, 1987 in Reno, Nevada, he was united in marriage to Terry A. Fernandes.

Bill worked as a chain puller for Diamond Lumber. He was an active supporter of youth sports, taking many baseball teams to all-star status and championships. Also, he was a race car driver for many years, racing his car at the Triple M Speedway in Marysville.

Bill is survived by his wife, Terry Bagley of Red Bluff; five sons, Chip (Kimberly) Bagley of Marysville, CA; Matthew Bagley of Yuba City, CA; Andy Bagley of Sutter, CA; stepsons, Greg Fernandes of Red Bluff, CA and Aaron (Samantha) Fernandes of Florida; two brothers, Ron (Ginger) Bagley of Marysville, CA and John (Lori) Peryea of Yuba City, CA; four sisters, Rena (Everett) Pope of Live Oak, CA; Helen (Stan) Payne of Brownsville, CA; Elsie Leister of Independence, MO, and Terri (Tony) Federspiel of Marysville, CA; and five grandchildren; Trevor, Jacob, Nick, Wyatt and Anthony Bagley. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces & nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Leon Bagley & Ruth Patricia Bagley Howell; three brothers, Richard Bagley, Bobby Bagley and Donnie Peryea and a sister, Patricia Kennedy.

Services: Visitation was from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, at Ullrey Memorial Chapel. A service was scheduled at 11 a.m. Friday, January 17, 2003, also at the chapel, with Jess Parker officiating. A reception followed at the Church of Christ, at the corner of Gray and Kimball Avenues in Yuba City, CA. Burial was in Sutter Cemetery. Ullrey Memorial Chapel Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
