The Honorable James Herold "Jim" Wolverton of Summersville, WV, former circuit judge of the 28th Judicial Circuit, passed away in summersville Memorial Hospital. He was 90.He was born in Richwood to the late United States Congressman John Marshall Wolverton and Laura Herold Wolverton, a teacher.Judge Wolverton served his country by enlisting in the US Army Air Corps in 1941, attaining the raqnk of technical sergeant. In April 1942, he entered Officers Canidate School and was commissioned a second lieutenant in June 1944. He was honorably discharged March 1946 as a First Lieutenant and remained in the US Army Air Corps Reserves for 12 years, thereafter attaining the rank of captain.
