Ruth Ison, 58, native of Tenn.
Ruth Ison, 58, of Manheim R2, died Saturday morning at Lancaster Osteopathic Hospital following a brief illness. She was the wife of James A. Ison, Sr. Born in Kingsport, Tenn., she was the daughter of Johnnie Dillow Wells of Kingsport, Tenn., and the late Charles Clive Wells, Sr. She was a member of the Poplar Grove Primitive Baptist Church, Kingsport, Tenn. Surviving, besides her husband and mother, are two sons and a daughter: James A. Ison, Columbia; Charles Ison, Manheim, and Leigh Ann, wife of James H. Olesh of Fredericksburg. There are six grandchildren. Four sisters and one brother also survive: Mildred, wife of Ellis Wallen; Selma, wife of Emory Fleming; Opal Wallen; Shirley, wife of Austin Adams, and Charles C. Wells, all of Kingsport, Tenn.
