Mr. Davis was a member of the Harvard Park Baptist church and the I.O.O.F. lodge 6.
He had been employed as a teamster and had farmed near Effingham before moving to Springfield in 1946.
Surviving are one son, W.R. Davis; three grandchildren, all of Springfield.
