Harlow H. Phelps, 76 years old, 1733 Kenilworth avenue, for forty-seven years a resident of Chicago, died at his home yesterday. Mr. Phelphs, who was a civil war veteran, serving with A. company, 141st New York volunteers, came to Chicago from Eau Claire, Wisconsin.

He was born in Haskell Flats, NY, May 26, 1843. Shortly after the civil war, he married Emma Kyle, daughter of of the late Robert Kyle, widely known as a Great Lakes navigator.

Besides his widow, he leaves two daughters. The funeral which will be private, will be this afternoon. Masonic funeral services will be held at Rosehill cemetery, the place of interment.
