Robert Randall Barton, age 96 of Fairburn, GA, passed away Tuesday, September 8, 2015, at Savannah Court in Newnan. He was born September 12, 1919, in fulton County, to the late James and Mattie Barton.

He retired from the Army as a First Class Sergeant. He received a Bronze Star for his service during the Korean War. After retiring from the Army, he worked for Tractor and Supply Inc. and retired in 2006 when he was 87. He umpired Little League baseball for over 59 years. He and his brother Scobey loved gardening and raising dogs. He was a resident of Fairburn for over 62 years.

Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his loving wife, Christine; brothers, Lloyd and Scobey; sisters, Bertha, Eunice, Julia and Peggy. He leaves behind to cherish his memory a nephew, Bill Sexton; nieces, Diana Sexton and Ann Dean; along with many great nieces and nephews.
