He is the beloved husband of the late Katherine E. Clampffer (nee - Ludtka). Father of Bernard Clampffer and his wife Linda. Grandfather of Michelle Lankford and her husband Aaron, B.J. Clampffer and his wife Beth Ann, John Parsons and Rebecca Parsons. Great grandfather of Addison, Breanna, Bryce and Braydon.
Paul was born, raised and educated in the Philadelphia area. He served in the United States Army during World War II. He worked for many years as a machine operator for the Container Corporation of America.
He was a former resident of Bennington Street in the Juniata Park section of Philadelphia and was a former member of the Juniata Park Boys Club and the Juniata Park Senior Center.
Relatives and friends were invited to his funeral service, Friday, December 21, 2007 at 10:00 A.M. at the Wetzel and Son Funeral Home, 501 North Easton Road, Willow Grove, PA. 19090 where friends were invited to call after 9:00 A.M. A cemetery service at Forest Hills Cemetery, Byberry Road and Philmont Avenue, Lower Moreland, PA 19116 followed the funeral service. Religious services were conducted by Rev. Philip N. Peterman from Oxford Circle Baptist Church, Levick and Loretto Streets, Philadelphia, PA 19124.
