He was born in Braxton County, the son of Betty L. Bourne of Nicut and the late Paul Bourne. He was employed by Whitney Well Service as a pipeline construction worker.
Surviving, in addition to his mother, are three children, Kayla, Josh and Matthew; one brother, Kenneth Bourne of Nicut; and two sisters, Karen Burch of Sutton and Crystal Sidwell of Mineral Wells.
Services were held at Stump Funeral Home, Arnoldsburg. Burial was in Metz Cemetery, Nicut.
