Graduate of Goffstown Area High School in 1986 then attended Manchester Technical College in 1986 and 1987 with a study in automotive technology.

After moving to Webster, John began working within the many demanding aspects of automotive diagnostics and repair. John was accomplished with many talents. He often delighted others with his storytelling, music and culinary creations. An avid outdoorsman and advocate of agriculture, John also volunteered much of his time, experience and knowledge to the Independent Success 4-H Club in Dunbarton and the Merrimack County Oxbows 4-H Club.
