Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 30, 2015 at 10:30 am at Fruland Funeral Home, 121 W. Jefferson St., in
Morris with Rev. Avery Wilson officiating. Interment will follow in West Lisbon Cemetery. Visitation will be held Sunday, from
4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the funeral home.
Born November 16, 1941 in Morris, he was the son of I. Harold and Ora (Sampson) Thompson. He attended Newark High
School. Ron married Carol Coultrip in 1975 and she preceded him in death in 2005. He then married Kay Harlow Tummel on
March 31, 2014.
For several years he was employed as a truck driver for Van Guard Trucking.
He is survived by his loving wife, Kay of Newark; three daughters, Kimberly (Trent) Stevens of Centerton, AK, Kelly
(Douglas) Beasley of Morris and Karyn (Dennis) Tennant of Fort Collins, CO; one son, Tim (Tammy) Thompson of
Richmond, KY; five grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were his parents.
He was a member of the West Lisbon Church.
Ron enjoyed his two pet cats and was fond of John Deere Equipment.
