GRILLIOTT, Daniel Lee, 67, of West Alexandria, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, September 13, 2015.

Dan was born on October 30, 1947 in Dayton Ohio. Daniel was a proud Veteran of the United States Navy. Daniel was also a Letter Carrier for the United States Postal Service for nearly 40 years. Daniel served as the President of the National Association of Letter Carriers Branch 182 for 26 years. Daniel leaves behind many loved ones of his extended family and friends.

Daniel is survived by his wife Doris of 49 years, and his three children Angela Grilliott, Daniel Grilliott II, and Dawn Grilliott. Four Grandchildren Tyler Grilliott, Dustin Grilliott, Haylee Grilliott, Thomas Grilliott; Sisters Theresa Hampton, Kathy Stivers; and countless In-Laws, Cousins, Nieces, Nephews, and Friends whom he loved dearly.

While Daniel’s smile would lift up a whole room, he will now continue to lift up our hearts as he joins his Parents Lowell Grilliott, Phyllis Riesinger, Harvey and Helen Bocock; Siblings Edward Grilliott, Sandy Gatliff, Nancy Hensley; Grandchildren Glenn Thomas Cundiff, Zachary Grilliott, Bryant Webb; and countless beloved family and friends.

Daniel will be in our hearts forever and truly missed and loved every day of our lives.

Funeral service 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 19, 2015 at the GEORGE C. MARTIN FUNERAL HOME, “Northridge Chapel,” 5040 Frederick Pike at Needmore Road. Rev. Reginald Frye, officiating. Interment Cedar Hill Cemetery, Trotwood. The family will receive friends 5-8 p.m. Friday at the George C. Martin Funeral Home.
