Carol Ely Adams
Mrs. Carol Ely Adams, 68, of Rome, passed away Saturday, September 12, 2015 at her residence.
Mrs. Adams was born July 3, 1947 in Rome to the late R.S. Ely and the late Mary Reese Ely. She worked for many years as a billing clerk for the Floyd County Water Department. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sisters, Mary Ruth Allen and Retha Ansley; her brother, Richard Ely.
Survivors include her husband of almost 40 years, Larry Adams; her children, Stephen Adams (Jennifer), Chris Adams (Erin) and Stephanye Yadkowski (Richard); her grandchildren, Samuel, Anna Kate and Julia Yadkowski, Abbey and Miles Adams and eleven chosen grandchildren; and several nieces.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, September 16, 2015 at 2 p.m. at Oaknoll Chapel with Doug Bowling officiating. Interment will follow in Oaknoll Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 12 Noon until 2 p.m.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to The Lustgarten Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer Research or to Heyman Hospice in Carol’s memory.
