Blanche B. Gorc, 103, of Elkhart, died Tuesday, September 15, 2015 at Golden Living Center.
Blanche was born on August 3, 1912 to Melvin E. and Iva (Bailey) Mahler in Stryker, OH. On August 26, 1933 she married Joseph Gorc. He preceded her in death on October 23, 1994.
Blanche is survived by daughters Gynelle Slayton, Elkhart and Karen Gorski (Thomas), Goshen; Grandchildren Cecil Slayton, Joseph Slayton (Crystal), and Sara Leeman (Mark); 8 great grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild; sisters Beverly Albert, Gloria Johnson, and Bernice Miller, all of Goshen, and a brother R.B. Mahler (Ann), Osceola.
She was preceded in death by 13 siblings.
Blanche was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, where she was active with the Rosary Society. She was a seamstress and also enjoyed quilting, cross word puzzles and traveling. She loved and was adored by her family and her grandchildren.
