John A. Avery, 74, Marion, died at 5 pm Monday, September 12, 1994 at home. Services will be at Meredith-Blue Funeral Home, Marion and burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. He had worked for General Radiator in Mount Vernon for 17 years as a tool and die maker and retired in 1982. He had been a Marion resident since 1968.

Survivors include daughter, Paulette Ragain of Marion, 2 grandchildren, sister Ruby Barham of Johnston City. His parents and 2 brothers also preceded him in death.
