Jasper DeBolt Interred Tuesday

Tuesday afternoon at two o'clock at the Pearson chapel funeral services were held for Jasper DeBolt, who died Saturday evening at the age of 73 years. He had been seriously ill since Wednesday, in poor health for a year past.
Jasper Newton DeBolt was born May 17, 1871 at Farmington, Ill. He was the son of Aaron and Rachael DeBolt. At the age of 17 he came to Bassett, Nebr., and did farm work. On March 3, 1909 he was married to Mary Birchard, and continued to engage in farming until moving the family home to Ord in 1920. Here the DeBolt family had lived since that time, Mr. DeBolt working as a teamster for many years.
Mrs. DeBolt preceded her husband in death in 1936. Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Thelma Maxfield of Burwell; Mrs. Thomas Maurice; Mrs. Charles Leckey of Ord; Beulah DeBolt of Platte Center, Nebr., and also a son John who lives in Amarillo, Tex. Also left to mourn are five brothers, three sisters and eight grandchildren.
Rev. M.M. Long officiated at the funeral rites. Interment was made in the Ord Cemetery.
