Mary is survived by 1 son; Steven La Mere of Ladysmith, 2 daughters; Linda La Mere of Eau Claire and Diane & Scott Carpenter of Rogers, MN and 1 brother; Walter Olmstead of Pennsylvania.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, September 16, 2015 at the Nash-Jackan Funeral Home in Ladysmith with Deacon Doug Sorenson officiating. Burial will be in the Riverside Cemetery. Mary's family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until service time on Wednesday at the funeral home∼Mary G. La Mere (Olmstead) passed away in the early morning on Sunday, Sept. 13, 2015 surrounded by her children. She passed away at Rusk County Memorial Hospital after having resided at Ladysmith Care & Rehab.
Mary was born in Clear Lake in 1929 to Perl and Clara Olmstead and came to Ladysmith with her family as a small child. She married Douglas La Mere of Ladysmith in 1951 and was a wonderful mother to her children Diane, Linda and Steven.
Mary is survived by her daughter Diane Carpenter (Scott) of the Twin Cities, her daughter Linda La Mere of Eau Claire, her son Steven of Ladysmith, her brother Walter Olmstead (Ellen) of Lancaster, Pa. and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Douglas, her father Perl Olmstead, her mother Clara Olmstead, her brother George Olmstead, her sister Helen Bladow and her brother-in-law Alvin Bladow.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday, Sept. 16 at Nash-Jackan Funeral Home with Deacon Doug Sorenson officiating.
Burial was in Riverside Cemetery.
