In his youth he attended Beverly Hills Catholic School, Loyola High School, and Loyola University (B.S. in Mathematics). He worked as a Scientific Systems Engineer for IBM.
He attended Georgetown University where he received his J.D. He was an L.A. County District Attorney, Criminal Law Specialist, and in private practice for (15+) years. He previously was Vice President and General Counsel of Acucobol, Chairman Acucobol Ireland, Board Member Acucobol Japan and Scandinavia.
Jack previously was Chairman of the National Assembly of Irish American Republicans. He loved his Irish heritage, and visited Ireland many times to do business and connect with distant family members. He held dual American/Irish citizenship.
Jack was a member of Alcoholics Anonymous and was sober for over 20 years. He was dedicated to alcoholism research, the primary reason he took on the amazing feat of setting aside his law practice and attending medical school at this stage of his life.
Jack was an extremely loving and proud father, survived by three daughters, Margaret, Dawn, and Gretchen. Jack was "larger than life", seemingly invincible, and it comes as a shock that he is gone. He did not live life passively but actively, making choices to fulfill his goals. The world will be less colorful without him.
Visitation Thursday, 3-8pm, 6:30pm. Vigil - Holy Cross Mortuary, 5835 West Slauson Ave., Culver City, CA 90230. Funeral Mass Friday, 9:30am, Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 505 N. Bedford Ave. Beverly Hills; Burial at 11:15am Holy Cross Cemetery.
