Juliana Jerome Evans, passed away on Thursday, September 17 in Dallas, Texas. She was born December 28, 1927 at in Hartford, Connecticut to Marcelle and May Belle Jerome. Juliana grew up in Wethersfield, Connecticut and graduated from Wethersfield High School in June of 1945. Juliana married Ray Warren Evans on the 29th of June, 1946 and remained married for 24 years until he passed suddenly. She was Executive Secretary to the Director of Development for Southern Methodist University for over a decade; and Executive Secretary to the Dean of the Engineering Department at SMU for another ten years. Always known as close in her relationship with God, she served the church in many capacities; and also served as a call counselor for a suicide hotline. Juliana is survived by her four children: Ray Jerome Evans, Katherine May Papini and Timothy Clarke Evans—all in Dallas, Texas, and Holly Anne Smart of Brawley, California. She leaves five grandchildren: Ray Christopher Evans, Angel Rosemarie Ousley, Wesley Evans Rupar, Juliana Smart, and Winston Evans Nickolas Smart. She was the very proud great-grandmother to Jake Edward Richter, Alexis Ann and Cailey Marie Ousley, and Danielle Alyssa Prough. Juliana was preceded by her parents, Marcelle and May Belle Jerome, brother Walter Jerome and husband Ray Warren Evans.
