Winston-Salem - Jacqueline Ann Dunstan Martin Boaz, passed away February 27, 2015 after a brief illness. Mrs. Boaz was born April 6, 1933 in Winston Salem to Richard Lee Dunstan, Jr. and Frances Caldwell Dunstan. "Jackie" lived most of her life in Winston Salem, having been raised by her paternal grandparents Richard Lee Dunstan, Sr.(Grandaddy) and Maude Washington Journey(Nanny). Mrs. Boaz was a graduate of R.J. Reynolds High School in 1951, the same year she married Julian Richard Martin, who precedes her in death. They remained married for 27 years. Always one to stay busy, she worked over the years for many companies, culminating with her longest tenure at R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company in their lnternational Tax Department before retiring in 1991. Jackie was a member of Knollwood Baptist Church and the Junior Woman's Club. She was an avid reader, loved her trips to the coast, while still able, and adored her many sets of Siamese cats. Mrs. Boaz is preceded in death by both of her parents, grandparents, sister, Joan Lee Dunstan and her husband, Alan Wright Boaz. She is survived by her daughter, Vicki Dunstan Martin; sons, Michael Richard Martin (Trina) and David Lee Martin (Christine) and her grandchildren, Lea Ann, Ali Elizabeth, and lan Michael Martin. There will be a service commemorating her life Sunday, March 8 at 2:00p.m. at Knollwood Baptist Church, followed by a reception in the Fellowship Hall. ln lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Knollwood Baptist Church, The Shepherds Center, Senior Services Meals on Wheels, or the charity of your choice.
