HIGH POINT | Delree Ayers Brock, 92, died Saturday, March 12, 2005, at High Point Regional Hospital.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Cumby Family Funeral Service Chapel in High Point by the Revs. Eric Peacock and Todd Brock. Interment will follow in Guilford Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Brock was born in Hartwell, Ga., on Sept. 25, 1914, to Daniel and Pearlie Reid Ayers. She was a member of Westchester Baptist Church and was retired from Mister Apparel. On Dec. 21, 1933, she was married to Benton V. Brock, who preceded her in death on Dec. 25, 1992. She was also preceded in death by a son, Jim Andy Brock, on Dec. 9, 1996.
Surviving are two sons, Virgle Brock and his wife, Jewel, of High Point, and Herbert B. Brock and his wife, Erma, of Linwood; two daughters, Kathryn Sink of Lexington and Patricia Ann Brock Bayne and her husband, Jimmy, of High Point; sisters-in-law, Della Brock of High Point and Elizabeth Ayers of Hartwell, Ga.; 14 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 8:30 at the funeral home and other times at the home of a son, Virgle Brock, 868 Johnson Road.
