John R. Brown, 69, died at 7 o'clock Wednesday evening at the home of his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. C. L. Fuller, 1310 Elk Street, after an illness of two weeks. He had been in ill health for several years, and suffered a stroke last week. He was born August 19, 1968, at Galloway, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Brown.
He lived in Franklin and vicinity his entire life.
He married Caroline Cubitt and she survives, with seven children, Mrs. Lena Cohen, Cooperstown, Lawrence Brown, Franklin, Richard Brown, Greenville, Mrs. C. L. Fuller and Paul Brown, Franklin, Theodore Brown, Greenville, and Mrs. Earl Fink, Cleveland, OH; 15 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Robert Brown, Rouseville, and William Brown, Kaneville; and one sister, Mrs. Perry Renninger, Galloway.
Services will be at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Fuller at 2 pm Saturday with Rev. Benjamin Bunn Royer officiating. Interment will be in Bethel Cemetery.
